Salam guys,
You want to do more, but sometimes you feel restless. You need to rest.
Huh, simple aite?
Newsletter harini, I will share 3 topics untuk ‘reduce’ the feeling of tiredness. Sebelum tu, let me emphasize something important:
Sometimes in today’s ‘world productivity advice’, people keep telling you to do MORE MORE MORE. And they give you a lot of productivtity tips on how to achieve MORE MORE MORE.
But you need to know the importance of rest.
Dalam newsletter #8, I shared with you: Rehat Weekend Dengan 2 Cara Ini (Bukan Scrolling): No-scroll day + pergi tempat nature/grounding.
Selalu kita fikir, rehat nak scroll. Bila kita scroll, our mind jump from one topic to another to another; continous consumption. That’s the opposite of rehat.
And the beauty of solat, time untuk rehat; that’s, if we know how to stop jumping from one topic to another masa solat.
Alright, let’s dive into our main topic, macam mana nak improve energy. 3 topics:
#1 Food
For this topic, I’m going to share my own experience.
Years ago, I always felt tired.
One day, when I scrolled through Facebook (it was during my jahiliah time where I used to scroll Facebook for hours at night), I saw someone asked a question on a Facebook group for the same problem that I had.
I was again, jahiliah at that time. Those people, orang putih. Diorang cakap tentang keto food, healthy food, and diorang bagi contoh kena makan makanan macam orang putih. Sebab yang jawap tu semua orang putih.
The heck?
I read, and I ignored.
One day, I had rice for lunch. Immediately afterward, I felt sleepy, and I had to sleep right away. That ‘tiredness’ kicked in again.
DrRizal came into the picture in 2016.
He explained how almost all Malay foods are not good for our brain. From roti canai, teh tarik, mee goreng, almost all kuih, all those oily foods, pisang goreng…
Everything that is not good for our brain, is not good for our body.
Then I baru faham…
Semua orang berbeza, and for me, my body cannot really tolerate junk food. I don’t want to explain this in details, but dulu pernah rasa ‘unhappy’: Bestnya orang lain makan lah apa pun, steady je…
Bila tengok balik, it’s actually a blessing in disguise.
Because of this, I kena kurangkan makan junk food. Yang mana boleh elak, elak.
And sometimes, bila ada gathering ke, or pergi rumah orang ke, balik hometown ke - yang ni tak boleh elak sangat. So chill. Bila di rumah sendiri cuba elak.
We have to know mana satu real food, mana satu junk food.
Contoh, pisang, elok dah Allah jadikan dia fresh gitu.
Contoh lain susu kotak, or dalam bekas plastik. Do you think it’s real?
Here’s the catch. Long time ago, I worked as an auditor. Suatu hari pergi kilang susu. There was a room ‘Dilarang masuk’. Dalam bilik tu, ada berguni-guni serbuk.
What is that ‘serbuk’?
‘Serbuk’ itu adalah all the things that you jumpa dekat bahagian ‘ingredients’ dekat packaging. Semua serbuk ini dicampur, and then kena boil dalam mesin, dengan suhu yang sangat tinggi to kill all the germs.
And we think, minumlah susu untuk sihat.
Kalau susu tu fresh from the source, direct dari kambing, or lembu, or perhaps even susu ibu: yes, itu sihat.
Food production is a massive industry.
Banyak sangat discussion nya. If you’re new, first thing first, elakkan gula putih.
For men, your performance will increase when you stop eating white sugar.

Too much thoughts pun boleh sebabkan restless.
Sebab tu I pesan kurangkan scroll.
Macam mana kita perlu jaga what kind of food yang masuk badan, macam tu juga kena jaga what kind of info yang boleh masuk kepala.
You don’t need to know everything….
So, macam mana nak ‘silent’ kan thought ni? I’ve shared dalam 30-Day Declutter Journey.
Stop doing everything, ambil earphone, pasang salah satu sound ni:

Buat pagi-pagi lagi bagus. Before everyone wakes up.
#3 Purpose
Sometimes, when we do things that are not in accordance with our ‘personality’ and ‘purpose’, it drains our energy.
Kena check balik what kind of work you’are in.
Contoh gini. Cuba bayangkan kalau Tailor Swift kerja jadi arkitek. Tak sesuai dengan jiwa dia.
Kena tahu what you’re good at, and fokus kat situ.
Sometimes we don’t know what we are good at, sebab ada banyak clutter, inside and outside.
Conclusion
Alright guys, just one last few sharing…
The other day my sister asked me, “You don’t eat that much, don’t you feel hungry?”
I told my sister, “I eat quality food...”
In minimalism, quality is the best quantity. Barang-barang yang kita ada, mungkin tak banyak. Tapi yang ada, semua berkualiti.

Alright, until next time.
