1. Sistem
1st solution is, you need a system. (serious mode activated)
Let me tell you a story about Pat.
Pat bekerja office macam biasa, pergi pagi, balik petang. And Pat nak sangat-sangat ada bisnes sendiri. But like all of us, Pat tademase… Busy busy busy…
So the sistem yang Pat implement adalah…
(wait for it)

.
… setiap kali lepas balik kerja, Pat akan lepak dekat cafe and work on his own business for 2 hours. Lepas 2 jam baru balik rumah..
And like most of us, Pat pun tak tahu bisnes apa dia nak buat.
So, first day, 2 jam tu nak buat apa?
You don’t know? I don’t know too…
The thing yang I nak you faham adalah, dia letakkan ‘sistem’ spend 2 jam sehari lepas balik kerja untuk work on his own venture. Deep work; no social media during those 2 hours.
You, yes you, you has your own venture too.
I don’t know what it is THE ONE BIG THING you nak capai this year. Could be:
Nak turun berat 10 KG
Nak start your own business
Nak start investment/multiple streams of income
You already have something on your mind, but you always have no time for it.
That’s why I said: ONE THING
But we are hasty, semua benda nak buat sekarang. Contoh, if you’re into sport, nak start main tennis sekarang, nak start main bola sekarang, nak start tae kwan do sekarang.. and you always think you can do it.
Hakikatnya, if Messi play tennis, play soccer and practice tae kwan do, all on the same time, he won’t be Messi today.
He will be messy.
Sama jugak kita, semua benda nak buat sekarang. Lepas tu tak pasal-pasal serabut.
Bro, (or sis), one thing at a time.
(Essentialism, remember?)
Back to Pat’s story. Now you think you tademase nak lepak cafe 2 jam.
Hello bro, siapa suruh lepak cafe 2 jam?
What I meant by that is, you kena cari masa. For example, malam spend 8pm-9pm work on your stuff.
Ok kena urus anak-anak kan?
Tidur awal, do it in early morning, before your kids wake up.
There’s a guy yang, lepas anak-anak dia tidur, baru dia start buat content video YouTube. Dia akan spend setengah jam - 2 jam for it (siap awal, tidur awal).
Ada juga someone yang nak belajar programming. Siang kerja office, malam spend time belajar programming.
Sometimes, you don’t need buat hari-hari pun.
Perhaps once a week.
For example, the ‘system’ I use untuk menulis this newsletter is on Sunday. That’s it.
Maybe you want to start reading a book. Find 30 minutes on Sunday with your book.
Maybe you want to start writing ‘bukukan’ your knowledge. Find one hour on Sunday for it.
