Salam guys! Happy Sunday (or happy whenever day you're reading this!) I hope wherever you are, you are always happy.
Sebelum I masuk topik penting harini, "One Day becomes Day One", ada short story I want to share.
Petang semalam lepas Asar, I was working on simple design using Canva. My goal is to get x number for my mailing list. So I kena promote, promote and promote…
Lepas siap, I tak puas hati dengan design tu. Dia tak 'wow'.
But I decided just to post it anyway.
I had a thought: “Kalau nak tunggu perfect, sampai ke sudah tak gerak.”
Look, this is what I want to share with you: Is there anything that you’ve always wanted to do, and you’ve said to yourself, "One day...." ?
Sometimes, kita tak buat benda tu, bukan sebab kita taknak buat. Tapi sebab kita nak dia perfect.
Contoh, kita nak start exercise. Tapi kita procrastinate dengan:
kena ada teman
kena ada kasut jogging
kena ada baju khas untuk jogging
kena ada smartwatch sebab nak track berapa jauh kita jogging
Or, the worst part is, kita nak buat banyak terus.
Contoh:
nak buat 10km terus
So kita fikir, kena ada sejam free, baru boleh exercise.
That's why we've been putting off that book for sooo long. Sebab kita fikir, dia banyak. Lama lah nak habis. Kena spend berhari-hari untuk baca.
Or maybe kita fikir, "Ok one day, aku nak bercuti. Anak-anak semua tinggal, so that aku boleh baca buku tu."
You know what?
And when the time comes untuk bercuti, all we want to do is…. (wait for it)
…just rest. Do nothing.
Kelaut buku tu. Dengan kita-kita sekali kelaut. Mandi pantai. Hehe.
See, that's the reason why kita tangguh benda yang kita dah lama nak buat.
To exaggerate it, maybe kita tunggu the earth, the moon, and the sun to be in perfect line, baru kita nak start that project.
Or maybe kita nak start menulis buku, or buat sharing through video. Tapi kita tunggu kita hebat dulu baru kita buat.
Kalau Taylor Swift nak tunggu hebat dulu baru perform, sampai kesudah tak perform...
Kena perform dulu, kena buat dulu, adjust, adjust, adjust, that’s how kita improve.
Ok now think, what is it that you really want to do, but you've been telling yourself, "Takde masa lah..."
Just one thing.
ONE.
And if you don't have anything, just find ONE thing.
Contoh:
Read that book.
Or create one project.
Or maybe, set one goal (contoh, turun 5kg)
Or learn that one skill (contoh, sales, or start improve English)
p.s: If you want to learn how to improve English, saya sudah compile 11 chapters untuk cara belajar English 30 minit sehari tanpa perlu study Grammar. Click here to get it.
Look, kita nampak orang main piano, kita rasa dia hebat kan?
But, we need to understand, dia bukannya duduk-duduk je depan piano, terus boleh main perfectly.
“Every master was once a disaster.”
You do it.
You fail.
You adjust.
Repeat.
Success is the result of 10,000 iterations.
Meaning, if you want to dedicate yourself untuk learn ONE new skill, please understand that, you takkan pandai dengan satu coobaan saja.
It will take some time.
Main piano, is a skill.
Learn English, is a skill.
Nak belajar sales, is a skill.
Nak belajar skill, memang akan ambil masa. We need to do it repeatedly for daysssss.
So, macam mana nak replicate this knowledge into our daily lives?
If you want to read a book, start with ONE chapter. The next day, repeat.
Nak start exercise, just spend 10 minutes, 15 minutes sebagai permulaan. The next day, repeat.
Nak start mengaji, start with ONE page. Bukan 1 juzu'. The next day, repeat.
And if you still think you don't have time, the solution is easy. Stop scrolling, and boom! Ada 30 minit free.
Look, last time I buat game social media detox for 7 days. Ini adalah salah satu sharing dari seorang participant selepas stop scrolling for one day:
Btw did you know that Mozart died at the age of 35, and throughout his life dia dah hasilkan more than 800 composition?
And recently, one of the ‘Friends’ cast members, Matthew Perry, passed away. Bila tengok balik, Matthew Perry sempat publish 1 buku last year. Buku tu dia share tentang life dia, and dia share story untuk bantu orang yang battle with addiction (drugs & alcohol).
What if, kalau dia tangguh?
It's not about how long we live, but how well we live.
Life is short. We never know when is our time.
Perhaps, we don't even have years left. Maybe months. Or weeks. Or days...
Whatever we want to do, do it now.
Maybe you want to start decluttering your house.
If you want to declutter, start with ONE room. Tak perlu pun start dengan 1 rumah.
Now, your ‘One Day’, can finally become ‘Day One’.
Alright guys, talk to you next week inshaAllah.
And as usual, feel free to hit reply and let me know what you think or if you have any questions I can answer.
Thanks for reading.
Love you guys.

If we still scroll social media mindlessly everyday, that means we haven’t decided on our life priorities.
In the end, no one will ever have regrets: “I wish I scrolled more…”
But people will regret, “I wish I had done this, I wish I had done that.”
