Salam guys,
It’s late. But I don’t want to miss one smile, I don’t want to miss one… newsletter… (if you know this song, you’re legend)
Anyway, last weekend, I had a short weekend getaway. Nonetheless, I ada Isnin-Jumaat to write this, either before Subuh, atau lepas Maghrib.
Why the heck I didn’t do it?
So that’s the topic for today: Finding Intrinsic Motivation.
If you’re reading this, I’m pretty sure you’re a person yang ada something yang you nak achieve.
We’ve talked many many times, about finding that ONE THING.
Either you want to:
Build online business
Finish writing that book
Reduce weight/build muscle
Do side business to save money for Hajj
just anything.. so far every newsletter yang I send, it revolves around helping you achieve that ONE THING.
Let’s say you want to finish writing that book.
(Btw, banyak speaking pulak. If you want me to speak in full Malay, reply this email and let me know)
Ok, that book.
Plan: You start by planning ada 10 chapters misalnya. Setiap chapter ada 3 sub-topic. Ini contoh. (Change it to whatever things you want to achieve.)
System: And then you letak sistem, setiap pagi bangun pukul 4. 4.30am - 5.15am, work on that book. Ini juga contoh.
Execute: You dah start buat, setiap pagi you bangun. And then one day, hari itu tidak indah seperti hari-hari sebelumnya.
Things got in the way.
Bos mesej malam-malam suruh buat kerja. Anak kecil meragam. Kucing gaduh. Any hurdles that you might be going through, and then you feel like… you’re not that lucky like everyone else.
That happens aite?
Let me tell you something. Orang yang berjaya atas dunia ni, they are not the luckiest person on earth. They just keep going.
Think of Nabi Yusuf. Is he the luckiest man on earth?
Tengok life dia dari kecil sampai besar, ujian demi ujian demi ujian… Dan surah Nabi Yusuf ni pulak, diturunkan semasa Nabi Muhammad bersedih dengan kematian Khadijah dan ayah sedara dia.
He was in sadness too.
These people, they keep going.
Kenapa agaknya cerita ini diceritakan melalui Quran?
Untuk disimpan atas rak kah, untuk di lagukan kah, atau untuk dibaca, difaham, dan diambil iktibar?

Ok, I want to share with you 3 major points, in hope you can relate. Here goes:
1. Find Your ‘Real’ Why
Why the heck do you want to do what you want to do?
Look, there’s a ‘fake’ reason we tell people, and there’s a ‘real’ reason we keep to ourselves.
Contoh, there’s a influencer, jutawan (bukan Malaysian - I don’t want to share his name untuk tutup aib dia), dia share 1 video tentang passive income.
So, dalam video ni dia cerita, contoh, “Saya buat video ni sebab saya nak bantu orang buat passive income” - this is the ‘fake’ reason yang dia cerita dekat orang.
And then he said, the ‘real’ reason dia buat video itu adalah, dia just nak tunjuk dekat orang berapa banyak duit dia buat.
The ‘real’ reason ni, he keep it to himself.
Let me give you another example.
You nak workout, the ‘fake’ reason is, you want to be healthy. This is the one you tell everyone. And the ‘real’ reason is, you want to look good in front of your spouse - this is the one you don’t tell anyone, you keep it to yourself.
Whatever you’re doing, find that' ‘real’ reason, the one that you don’t tell anyone.
Good?
Alright let’s move to the second point.
2. Your Environment Matters
Last year, I shared a video on Facebook:
So this guy share, dia dulu adalah seorang drug addict. Dia nak quit, tapi sangat susah.
Bila duduk rumah dia, dia addict dengan dadah.
Tapi bila dia duduk rumah grandparents dia for 2 weeks, dia tak ambil dadah langsung.
Alright, I’m pretty sure you’re not battling with drugs.
You want to get things done.
Perhaps, susunan bilik itu; there’s too much things. The environment itu tidak membantu untuk work on your side project.
While everyone else fikir nak tambah apa dalam bilik, you think the opposite. Apa yang perlu declutter?
3. You Need People!
Nabi ada sahabat.
Ada Khadijah. Ada Aisyah.
People. Could be friends. Or Spouse.
It’s lonely to be alone. It’s much better if there’s someone around for you to share things with.
Here’s the plot twist; what if you don’t have people around you, or people yang same path with you?
Wake up early. Talk to Him.
To wake up early, you need to sleep early. Noktah.
p.s: I believe Nabi Yusuf don’t really have friends to share his problems with. Got it? And his father once said [12:86]:
Conclusion
Alright peeps. I hope this helps.
Whatever you’re meant to do, do it now. The condition is always impossible.
If there’s no one in this world who trusts you can do that, don’t worry. I trust you.
If I don’t, why the heck would I spend every week writing this to motivate you to get things done?
Because I believe in you.
Trust me, if I can do it, that means, you can do it too. I’m not the luckiest person on earth. I just keep pushing myself.
Alright, until next time.
Love you guys.
